We never imagined that a web search containing the words 'Maddox Lucille' would bring up multiple articles about our daughter.

This is quite exciting and honorable.

We love reading what everyone has to say.  Unfortunately, it seems in this day and age, with good always comes a little bit of bad.  It is amazing the number of random strangers out there that feel the need to leave negative comments about our innocent child.  The comments are hurtful but yet we leave most of them up for the public eye to read.  As we ponder why we do this, two things come to mind.

Number 1:

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. We are in no place to delete the thought of another individual.

And number 2:

WE DON'T CARE.  The comments don't bother us.  In fact, deep down at the heart strings, we actually feel bad for the people who felt better after writing them.

We open our book of life and read aloud to you our inner most gut wrenching story for two reasons.
  • To promote Down Syndrome awareness in its entirety: the good, the bad, and the beautiful.
  • To be the voice for those parents who aren't quite ready to speak about their journey.
