CHRISTMAS EVERYWHERE

Picture

When it is your first Christmas, it only makes sense to celebrate it three times!

Christmas number one started in Midland with Scott’s family.  Santa made a visit but unfortunately warm milk trumped sitting on Santa’s lap.  Maddox was able to spend time with all of her cousins and loved helping open gifts

Christmas number two was our family Christmas.  Maddox and Copper helped tear open presents.

She loved her gifts, especially the ones from Daddy!

Christmas number three was in Nebraska with my family.  Maddox was able to spend time with the rest of her cousins.  They adore Maddox and Maddox completely adores them.

One of the things silly little things as a new mom that I always looked forward to was having Maddox take baths with her cousins.  I guess it is a deep embedded memory that reminds me of my own childhood.

Anyhow, for those who can understand, this was one of my bittersweet moments where I was forced to reshape the vision originally created in my head.  You know, everyday gets a little easier and moments where I actually capture this face on camera reminds me that even though this may not be what I dreamt up, this just may quite possibly be sweeter.

Yeah, hanging with my family definitely puts me on cloud nine.  I couldn’t pass up a little photography and cuddling after bath time.

I tried to teach Maddox the difference between NAUGHTY and NICE but she already knew......

Then there is Christmas at my house......

My parents went overboard.   This was the family room after Santa’s workshop exploded.

Dart boards, doggie flower pots, video cameras, freeze dried food, jewelry, clothes, winter jackets, you name it....  I know my parents wanted to have an extra special Christmas this year.  It is not often that both their kids and all their grandkids are able to be at the same place for this special time.  Thank you mom and dad for everything you did to make this year special.  I noticed every detail down to the last Christmas decoration and I didn’t even move the animals around in the manger this year!

You know who else was really good this year?  Santa brought my parents a Wii.  Isn’t this sweet?  We hope you spend lots of time together.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT
