Maddox IS her daddy’s child. Her new favorite room in the house.
Maddox has been working on crawling for months now but overnight she learned to pick up the pace. She crawls all over the house now, to the bathrooms, dog water dishes, and manages to get herself stuck in corners. My new job is to follow her around the house, take photos, and show her what is on and off limits. Call me stubborn, but I refuse to baby proof everything. I want to teach her what is ok to play with and what is not. Although the first week I couldn’t discipline her, she was just too proud of her accomplishments!
Speaking of accomplishments, our pre potty training continues to be successful! I remember sitting at a meeting a few months ago and someone commented that it was too early for me to be concerned with potty training and that Maddox will learn to do this on her own time. I won’t tell you what I said in my head that day but I can tell you that hearing people doubt us is the best thing that will ever happen to us.

Today is a remarkable day because mommy hood has officially begun. I have waited (not so patiently), 17 months for this.
